The expedition of Lewis and Clark was about two years. With out technology today, a modern day expedition would take about a month or two (depending on the amount of land). Some new technology we have to help us are satellite images, solar power, cars, motors, and dehydrated food. Technology today will help a lot with an expedition.

Under these catagories (food, equiptment, transportation, clothes, recording/communication, and shelter) group missy found the most impotant things we would bring and wrote them in the table above. Under food the most important thing we think is dehydrated food because it wouldn't go bad. The most important things under equiptment would be the solar powered batteries and the water filter because modern days there are a lot of diseases and bacteria in rivers and ponds. The most important things in transportation is the cars. They will take us through the wilderness a lot faster then on foot. The most important thing in clothing is the winter clothes. When the weather is cold you definently need protection. We wouldn't want to go out in the snow in shorts and a tee-shirt. The most important thing in recording/communication is walkie-talkies because you wouldn't want to get lost. Under shelter, tents are the most important thing to bring because it will keep you somewhat dry if weather changes occur. Those are the most important things in our catagories.
